If a piece is veneer, Slick Stick is a good choice.  Used for shiny or laminate surfaces rather than sanding.

Coat of primer before painting.  This gives a consistent base for paint to apply evenly to.

Guided graining tool through Dixie Mud.  Made ridges like  corrugated iron.

Created a stippled look with Steel Magnolia.  To give it the look of a tarnished metal door.

Then used Silver Bullet, placed for highlights.
